Island Manor Resort

I stayed here about 15+ years ago and it’s like night and day. The new managers, who have managed the property for the past 5 years, have upgraded the furniture and amenities. The double unit we had was so clean. The bedding very comfortable. The outside property has also been redone. I can’t say enough about the place. Was a wonderful trip. We are coming back in October and can’t wait! I highly recommend this resort.

Nice, workable three star accommodations. Walk to all the little shops and restaurants of New Shoreham. Very friendly staff. Surprisingly good selection of DVDs for the off night or rainy day. Internet needs improvement (only in the common room, not working at all most of the time we were there and very slow when it was). They could also use some black out curtains.

Prime location. Walkable to many things. Walkable to the ferry and restaurants. Nice and clean. Seems like they are working on updating it to be even nicer. Table and chairs outside of the units for use. Great amenities like playground and grills and fire pit and DVD/book library for rainy days. Have beach chairs and toys and boogie boards available as well. Wished they offered beach towels. Plenty of storage options inside unit to help make it tidy and efficient for a week stay. No wifi in units but some available in the lounge area. Def would come back.

A little gem of a place on Block Island. Remember it’s a rustic, old fashioned island so if your looking for room service and concierge pick a different destination. What this place had is charm, great service and a great location in town. Your a block off the main drag from all the shops, restaurants and bars. 10-15 minute walk to the beach too. We just came in March which is my favorite time of year, very quiet. Only a couple bars/restaurants open but the island is quiet and peaceful, had the beach to ourselves. The manager Desiree is awesome.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights when the ferries were shut down this past weekend/begining of the week. Desiree was so sweet and accommodating! The location is great, only a few minute walk to a majority of the breakfast spots, restaurants, grocery store and ferry!

Given that our first visit to Block Island was in the off season as well as during the pandemic, Island Manor Resort was very comfortable, clean and convenient. The managers were helpful and friendly. I can't comment on what it might be like in the summer and nothing to compare it to, but location seems great, easy walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants (most closed in November though). Don't expect fancy, just a great place to stay as a base for exploring the island. Management obviously takes very good care of the place. Recommended.

We stayed there on a work trip to the island, and it was a very comfortable, accommodating hotel/inn. Beds were very comfortable. Very friendly staff. Would absolutely stay here again. My only complaint is the main building/ office could use a lil updating, and some accommodations would be nice for guests.. ie. free coffee, maybe breakfast items.

Best aspect is location in town, yet there is also parking, a spacious immaculate yard and patio, and a little playground. The studio room is basic but comfortable. There is a porch with outdoor tables and chairs for every room. Only downside is no cleaning and no wifi and no air conditioning except window fan.
